SPS Italia, the innovation marketplace visits Parma

15 May 2025

Large number of visitors to 13th edition of SPS Italia.

This is the unmissable event of the year for those interested in meeting suppliers of industrial automation components and systems, robotics, mechatronics, digital & software tools, smart manufacturing, and Industry 5.0 products and services. With 37,126 visitors from May 13–15, SPS Italia reaffirmed its role as a premier platform for innovation and knowledge exchange. The event showcased cutting-edge advancements in AI, industrial digitalisation, and next-gen manufacturing technologies, alongside practical insights into workforce development and social and environmental sustainability.

Donald Wich, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Italia, declared: “As the organisers of this event, witnessing the yearly reunion of a loyal and well-established network is a source of great satisfaction. SPS Italia continues to grow its community, attracting both seasoned professionals and fresh talent for a dynamic exchange on the latest technological advancements. The vibrant energy across the exhibition halls over these three days confirms that innovation remains a top priority and a promising prospect both for today’s industry leaders and for the next generation of Italian businesses."

Andrea Bianchi, President of ANIE Automazione, commented: "The 2025 edition of SPS Italia reaffirms this event's central role as a benchmark for the industrial automation community. Despite the current volatile and precarious global context, and despite last year’s sizeable downturn of the sector, companies in our industry continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience and a strong capacity for innovation as they remain tightly focused on digitalisation and sustainability. The ongoing twin transition (digital and green), coupled with the fact that artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity remain indispensable areas of corporate interest, provides plenty of fresh opportunities and drivers of growth that should revive the fortunes of the sector."
